Eyebrows and eyelashes are hand painted as well. I think with closed eyes it's more natural. I used a touch of gloss clear coat anywhere you'd expect some moisture like mouth, nasal area, ears, creases, and diaper area. She has painted mottled skin, blushing in creases, veining, and white fingernails tips. There are magnets in the head on both sides for the hair bow.
Glass weighted beads and polyfill stuffing also used. She does have a baby powder scented wafer in the soft body. She comes with everything pictured.2- pacifiers (handmade pink bow/plastic heart). 1 pair of fancy shoes. I've collaged a lot of the photos so you can see all the details.
So please check everything out. These are issues I encountered and baby is price reduced accordingly. A couple fingers the blush paint pooled in the crease around nail (somewhat noticeable) with hand painted dolls sometimes it bleeds and I've noticed in the heat setting process sometimes the paint changes. Also the body I used which was designed for 16"-26" the arm holes were extremely small and I had to make a cut but they are basically hidden under vinyl belly plate. Hand painted dolls are more unique than factory produced.
Sometimes what may seem like a flaw is very similar to the individual characteristics of human skin. I attribute that to regular play. Those dolls were probably meant more for display but even handmade dolls can shed some hairs. I've not been making these for very long, I consider myself a beginner. It's an opportunity to have a beautiful and realistic doll.
