Matilda (Mathilde) by Christine Cuvellier is a superb baby to add to any serious lifelike doll collector's home. She is beautifully painted and has details that I've never seen before in this art form. A truly remarkable baby with a light biracial skin-tone (see photo of me, Caucasian, holding her hand). She is #3 of 10 dolls in the edition. Matilda weights about 12 pounds and fits 0/3 and 3/6 month size clothing perfectly. Her soft hair is a beautiful shade of dark brown and her hazel eyes just draw you in. She is also a delight to hold. Matilda's body is poured in one piece in a platinum silicone and her head is ball-jointed to allow movement for positioning. She can take a full pacifier but her mouth is so precious I rarely allow her to have one. I take excellent care of my dolls and they remain in the same condition that I received them from the artist. I do not bathe (except with water) nor powder my babies to preserve the silicone and paint in its original form.
