OOAK Art Doll Reborn Hand-painted Rooted Mohair Hyperrealistic Newborn Baby ANDI
No typo, this baby is a year in the making. The artist appears to be no longer active under that name on her storefront, but other social media (same name) still exists if you'd like to review her other work. Due to various issues unrelated to the doll herself, I never displayed her and held her maybe 6 times. The baby has been wrapped head to toe in her blanket and placed on a cushioned shelf in my closet. I finally decided she should be able to be owned by someone who will love her and appreciate the artwork.
I can honestly say that even though I have had her in my home, you will be her first real parent. She is honestly uncanny in how lifelike she is. I'm only sorry I can't take great pictures.
Doe suede weighted body (I can't recall what weights her), rooted mohair eyelashes and light brown hair, also mohair, and she has an open nose. She is painted with many layers of Genesis heat-set paints. I can't style baby hair worth a hoot, but as you see it likes to curl! Care for her hair should only include pure water lightly applied and a little leave-in conditioner when needed. It can be lightly brushed.She has a magnet in her mouth to take a pacifier, and one is included with felt backing so it doesn't hurt the paint. She does sit up on her own, which makes hair styling and dressing so much easier! In your arms, she feels and looks just like a baby. She has beautiful newborn mottling and not a detail has been missed.
If there is any scent, it's from the leave-in conditioner I used to style (kinda) her hair for the pictures. Happy to send it along, though I can't say it's any better than any other for the purpose. I can honestly say there are no scuffs, marks, dings, or tears or stains in the fabric. She looks the same as the day I got her.
I have never even put her in a different outfit. She needs to be loved. I have many more pictures, including the originals from the artist which of course I can't post here, so please let me know if you want any more photos!!
While I refer to her as female and she is dressed as such, this is a genderless model and the baby could be any gender you like! Just get her out of all that pink if you'd like a change! This is my one and only reborn, sorry. While I do have dogs and a cat in the house, none of them enter the closet where she has been, and none have been in contact with her - although one was terrified thinking I had a real baby in my arms!
