I start each doll with an idea of what i want him or her to look like. I usually choose A sculpt because they remind me of a child i have had in my care. Sometimes i change details, like hair or eye color, but i usually stay true to the little one resembling the sculpt.

I take a lot of pictures of the children i have with me while they are in foster care. I do this for 2 reasons, first of course is for the children to have a visual record of their time with our family, second is so i can reflect on the pictures for my dolls. A " realistic skin tone " This gives you a superior result. Hair I Directionally MICRO ROOT 1-2 HAIR AT A TIME. I USE ONLY WATER TO STYLE THE HAIR, SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT YOU LITTLE ONE WILL LOOK LIKE WITHIN MINUTES OF ARRIVING HOME. ONCE THE HAIR IS DRY, IT WILL HOLD ITS STYLE.

YOU CAN WET AND RESTYLE AS OFTEN AS YOU LIKE. I HAVE USED NATURALLY CURLY, RED MOHAIR. SHe has a beautiful crown swirl, and natural hairline. This hair has been sealed from the inside with a waterproof sealer.
