Welcome to Lullaby Lake Nursery. My name is Joanne and I create reborn babies here in my cottage by Lullaby Lake. The reborning art is a labor of love as each, unique cherub comes to life. Each "birth" takes me many, many hours using the finest products, techniques and implements as I strive to create even more realistic and detailed babies.
I hope you will join me in the joy a reborn can bring! Proudly Presenting My Newest Baby. Weight: 5 pounds 8 ounces. Rosie was reborn from the darling sculpt, Johanna, created by very talented artist Karola Wegerich, She is from of an open Edition. She is a sweetheart and was a delight to bring to life.
Many, many layers of my own mixtures of Genesis Heat Set paints creating depth to his living skin tones very subtle veining, mottling, and blushing in all the right places to give her a realistic baby complexion.. Full arms and full legs connected to his flesh tone cloth body. (Johanna's sculpt came with three quarter length limbs which I changed to Adrie Stoete full limbs as I prefer full limbs on my babies) All are fully moveable and filled with the softest polyfill and poly pellets and some steel pellets to add weigh for realism. Little baby nails painted with that freshly cut, transparent, natural look, sealed several times for protection. Finely rooted premium mohair, in a lovely shade of dark brown I have secured her hair with a water proof adhesive inside herhead so her hair can be gently dampened and styled.
Hand rooted eyelashes and finely painted eyebrows. Magnetic pacifier, so care must be taken around electronics.
The highest quality materials ensure that you receive a unique baby that will last for generations. Rosie is surely a one of a kind, special collectible doll to be cherished and handled by adults and older children. Rosie's hair has been finely rooted with premium mohair I have used a beautiful shade of dark baby brown Her hair is easily styled and has a slight curl. Rosie has a lovely layette, chosen just for her She will come home with all the outfits featured in the photos below.Her birth certificate, both COAs (Johanna's and Adrie Stoete certificates), care instructions, a cuddly blanket and animal, and a few surprises, as always, are included. All other items are props that are the property of Lullaby Lake Nursery Please check my feedback to hear from happy customers. I have not enhanced Rosie's photos except to lighten or darken them or give them a border for better viewing. They have been taken in natural daylight and some flash throughout the day.
